Bullseye search · GTM & Sales
Your first sellers decide whether the product turns into revenue. I run a bullseye search for closers and pipeline builders who are carrying a number right now, not the ones refreshing job boards.
The short answer
Chasen Talent is a founder-led recruiting firm that finds go-to-market and sales hires for early-stage to growth startups. Founder Chasen Nick runs every search personally as a bullseye search: one specific profile, recruited directly from teams where that work is happening now, and verified before a client ever sees them. In 2026 he has worked 10 go-to-market searches, from SDRs to partnerships leaders.
2026 market read, from my desk
Posted compensation from 10 real searches on my desk this year, usually base salary and occasionally OTE. Client names stay confidential.
The target
Currently quota-carrying, with a track record you can verify.
Has sold without a playbook, a brand, or a marketing engine behind them.
Prospects, runs discovery, and closes, instead of waiting for handed-off leads.
Has sold to the same buyer and deal size you sell to.
Where I find them: Top performers at venture-backed SaaS companies, early sellers at startups that were acquired or stalled, and SDRs who are ready for their first closing seat.
How a bullseye search works
We pin down the exact profile together: what they've shipped, the stack, the stage, and the dealbreakers. No keyword lists.
I map who's doing this work right now and recruit them directly with your specific role. Most of them are not applying anywhere.
I check real track record and current role before anyone reaches you, so you meet finalists, not a stack of resumes.
Every step is run by me, Chasen Nick. No handoffs to junior recruiters. How that compares to a big agency →
Questions founders ask
Across the 10 go-to-market searches I've worked in 2026, posted compensation was: SDRs $70K to $85K, founding AEs $100K to $180K, account executives $90K to $228K, solutions engineers $147K to $175K and partnerships leaders $250K to $300K. Figures are as each client posted them, usually base salary and occasionally OTE.
A founding AE sells without a playbook, a brand, or a marketing engine, and usually helps write the playbook. A regular AE executes a playbook that already works. Putting a great playbook executor into a founding seat is one of the most common early sales mistakes.
Usually once the founders have closed enough deals themselves to know who buys, why, and how the sale runs. The first AE's job is to prove that process works without the founder in the room.
California, New York, and remote across the United States. Most searches on my desk right now are in-person roles in San Francisco.
